This outfitted Brown bear hunt takes place in an exclusive guide use area, on the western tip of mainland North America, along the Alaskan Peninsula. Hunters in the past have had opportunities at bears over 9'5" and have taken several over 10'. Hunt is conducted on foot and hunters should be in reasonably good physical condition. Hunters will generally see 10-30 bears during the 15 day hunt. There have also been multiple 9' 6"+ bears taken with archery equipment. This Brown bear hunt takes place in some of the most amazing country in North America. You will travel by boat through the Misty Fiords of Southern Alaska looking for big bears. These boats are equipped with outboard jet motors that are used to access the tidal flats and river banks where bears are found feeding. For the most part, this is a physically mild hunt. One hunter will have both a Brown bear and a black bear tag. Guests can accompany this hunter with a black bear tag of their own as well as an option to harvest a Brown bear with a trophy fee. Wolf can be taken as additional species at no extra charge. Can be a single hunters or a group of 2-4, great for a family hunt! Arctic Grizzly in the Northwest Territories! These bears are hunted on 10 day hunts, from late April to the end of May, when they are just coming out of their dens. Hunters and their Inuit guides will travel by snowmobile in search of male bears. Arctic Grizzly bears are beautiful bears and often have hair that is over 4" long, with no rubs. The average arctic grizzly harvested is 7' to 8'6". Camps are heated wood cabins. There are two Inuit guides for each hunter. Success rate for Grizzly bear is very high and can be planned as a combo hunt with wolf. The days this time of year are long and many miles of unspoiled land will be traveled looking for bears.
